Meet the CMD.
Prof Adoga Agida Samuel began his primary school education at Saint Andrew’s Primary School in Otukpo in 1974- 1978. He moved on to Marmara Primary School in Zaria from 1978-1980.
His Secondary School Education was at Command Secondary School, Kaduna from 1980-1985.
He then Moved on to the Jos University where he completed his Medical education from 1986-1992.
He began his Postgraduate education in Otorhinolaryngology from University of Jos in 1999-2001 and then moved to University College Hospital Ibadan from 2001-2005. Upon his graduation, he was appointed as Lecturer 1 in the year 2005 and rose through the rank and became a Professor in Faculty of Otorhinolarygology of the West African College in the year 2015.

He was the Co- cordinator of ENT surgery, a unit under Surgery then Headed by the Late Professor Nwadiaro of blessed memory from 2005- 2009. Unrelented as a Professor, he pursued the fellowship of the National Postgradiate Medical College in the year 2020 as the only consultant of ORL of the NPMCN in that institution.
He has over 70 published scientific articles in both the local an international arena. He has attended several conferences across Asia, United States of America, North America and many other African countries and gained alot of experience in Otology, Neurotology and Skull base surgery as well as Laryngoloy Head and Neck Surgery. He has a passion for teaching temporal bone anatomy and temporal bone dissection. Importantly, he will be remembered for bringing Cochlear Implant Surgery which gives hope to the deaf in Nigeria for the very first time in the year 2005 with his American mentor. He began the 1st temporal bone dissection at the Jo’s University Anatomy Dissection hall in the year 2009, leading to the publication that is titled” Temporal bone Dissection: A necessity for life otologic surgeries” which is wildly read across many countries in the world including Israel. He also helped to established a world class temporal bone dissection with his mentor which is currently situated at the Jo’s University Teaching Hospital named Prof Van Der Hough Temporal bone Dissection Hall. He was the co-ordinator of Temporal dissection at the Jo’s Universoty Teaching hospital for several years and currently the Temporal bone dissection facilitator for the Faculty of Otorhinolaryngology of the West African College of Surgeons.
He is a proud father of 4 children, A medical doctor, 2 medical students and Cyber security student. He lost his beloved wife to cancer of the liver this year on the 9th/1/2024.
MAJOR BREAK THROUGH. Prof Adoga Agida Samuel produced the first Nigerian Deaf Consultant Ear Nose & Throat Surgeon Surgeon, who is capable of doing what any Doctor can do through Cochlear implant Surgery. The first of its kind in Nigeria and West Africa as a whole.
